Viraj Singh is an Indian Open Water Scuba Instructor who transitioned from a background in wildlife conservation and outdoor education. Originally from Pune, Viraj enjoys the vibrant, social atmosphere of Gili Trawangan and loves working with the supportive team at Blue Marlin Dive. His favorite dive site is Deep Turbo, where he enjoys drifting through the pinnacles and encountering sharks and rays. One of his coolest underwater experiences was seeing a school of over 100 devil rays passing through his dive group.

Viraj has had his share of broken bones, and when he’s not diving, he enjoys training dogs and horses. He dreams of diving in Okinawa for its incredible macro life and hopes to encounter humpback whales one day. His current goal is to delve deeper into technical diving and perhaps even start teaching it. After a dive, you’ll find him indulging in Regina’s Pizza.

The best piece of advice he’s received? “Ask yourself, when was the last time you did something for the first time? Keep exploring.”
